The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies,
Colonial Office,
Downing Street,
LONDON, S.W. 1.
sir,
I am requested by the Court of the
Company to inform you that they have had brought
to their notice a report of an incident which arose
in Hong Kong during July last.
The case is referred to in the
official record as ""Yacht Tevy II" versus S.S."Sui
Tai" (Macao Ferry) Hongkong 29th July, 1931."
After careful consideration of the
information at their disposal the Court are unable
to find any grave breach of the regulations such as
would warrant the imposition of a "fine of #25 or in
default two weeks with hard labour" which was,
we
understand, the sentence passed by the Marine Magistrate,
Commander G. F. Hole, R.N., (Ret), upon Commander T.
Pritchard, R.N.R., (Ret.)
